Here we are again for a new edition of 1 kit 5 ways. Each time I am impressed by the ways everyone uses a kit. This time we chose a minikit by Lydia Designs, “My Heart”. You can find it in the store. I thought since it is a mini kit not a big one, not more elements or papers inside … so perhaps pages made with it will be uniform or a little bit close. You will see, I was wrong 🙂
Here are some pages made by Cheery-O team :
From Vera :
“When i saw the kit, i directly thought about our Diezel. He died almost one year ago. Even now it’s hard for me to look at pictures from Diezel without crying . We still miss him so much ! The wordstrips and the brush where perfect for our feelings. ”
From Flor :
“I love the soft colors and neutral that go with everything. The hearts are hand drawn adorable. I placed the hearts and I cut the paper. I rotate a bit the hearts for more dimension. I took a photoshop brush and I use the same yellow tone that it is on the kit.”
From Marjike :
“I used two papers (n°5 – 6) on different blending modes. two times paper n°5 (blending mode linear burn) and two times paper n°6 (pin light and darken).
I also changed the opacity of paper n°6.”
From Tropt :
“I love so many things about this kit: the theme (it’s often hard to find a kit with this theme that doesn’t use dark colors), the color palette and the variety of designs plus the fact that they all work so well together that you can play a bit. In fact, I merged two of the papers and changed the opacity on the top paper to create my background paper as well as recoloring the paint splatter.”
Mine is here :
“I wanted to see the yellow everywhere, not the blue side of the kit. I felt in love with the pretty shadowed hearts so I took a big one, put in the middle of the page to let us focus on it. A photo behind, a big one but I recolorize it to not overshadow the pretty heart. And the wordarts … yes, they are so beautiful, I needed absolutely to use them !”
You can follow the link, take the minikit from the store … and show us how you played with it !
