This month we were feeling in a ‘green’ mood,
so we chose to work with Anna Aspnes ArtPlay Palette Lush.
Let’s see what some of our Cheery-O’s did with this kit.
I did what I always do with the ‘1 Kit 5 Ways’ challenge, I work on my latest project, which happens to be my May vacation to South Carolina. It was definitely green there, with so much moisture in the air, so different from where I live in California. Magnolia Plantation on the Ashley River was particularly lush. I started out wanting to do a somewhat elegant page, then decided to go silly and include all my failed attempts at self-portraits. I was thrilled to find the perfect frames for this in the kit in addition to the wonderful elements and brushes and transfers which complemented the scene.
I so love this green kit, and the brushes… That I already knew how to use that kit and this photo was imperative upon me
Two beautiful pages from scrappie irene:
The minute I saw this kit I knew which photo I wanted to use. The soft greens and gorgeous textured white papers were what pulled me in first, and then the transfers and delicate elements really helped to pull the page together.
I knew with the theme of the kit and the green that I wanted to use a picture that had a lot of foliage. The Lego exhibit was so interesting because of the contrast between the very structured bricks and the plants in the gardens. I pulled in the paper that I wanted and my favorite clipping masks. I thought the butterfly and branch would accent it nicely and a grungy font for journaling to tie it all together!
And from Dumpty:
The butterfly in the kit immediately had me thinking of my daughter as a ballerina, and the word arts were just what I needed for that theme ! I had fun mixing a masked photo with a cleaner framed one, and just loved playing with the green transfers, brushes and elements.
Since I like pages from my vacation albums to coordinate, I also did another page, also somewhat silly:
