Can you believe we’re starting another month already? Where did September go?!
Now that the kids are settled into their school routines and the weather is cooling, hopefully you’re going to have a bit more time for yourself…or maybe you’ll just have to make some more time for yourself. 😉
If you’re feeling a bit rusty with your scrapping skills or have lost your mojo over the summer, it’s a great time to check out the challenges here at the O! I can always find tons of inspiration from the challenges themselves as well as all the layouts from those who participate so this post is all about the great layouts you can find in the challenge gallery. There is so much inspiration in there that I had to go with layouts from just one challenge.
For example, here is one of the samples from the September Copy Cat challenge. This challenge is great because you’re given a free template and you can jazz it up anyway you want. No need for overthinking; Just grab a photo or two, some elements or a lot and before you know it, you’ve got a great layout. It’s a fabulous way to get scrapping again.
Ulina made this template look like an inspirational poster with the big, action photo for the background in her Go for your dreams! layout. You can easily do this by grabbing two photos you love and combining them with some favorite word art and choice elements.
With her Cool Cat layout, ouisiekelly kept the basic look of the template but used a larger photo and added elements and word art on the bottom left. Great personalization!
When you have a bit more time and just want to play, you can splatter and layer and try some creative photo treatments like scrappingramma did in her version. So much to see in this eye-catching layout!
Madi took the template and gave it her own twist by giving it a card look in fly. Great way to think outside the box and jumpstart your creativity!
In That’s a Smile, Tamsin kept the focus on that sweet photo by using a creative frame (love that stitched look!) and a few simple but very well-placed elements.
LOVE that marbled accent behind the photo in jode2771’s layout. It jumps out and grabs your attention. Paired with the fun aquatic elements and the wonderful painty accents, this layout is a stunner!
doti40 just flipped the template in her Pictures of You so that the photo was on the left side instead of the right and made it shine with a vivid background and some well-placed elements. Not too complicated but super stunning!
So, as you can see, there are tons of layouts you can create from one O scraps challenge. Come on over and check out our new October challenges!
