Since many of us are still battling skyscraper-high mounds of snow (or so it seems), let’s put a positive twist on this cold weather and see what COOL layouts are in the gallery this week!
I just love how Dady added the paper texture in on the right and then blended/erased her photo so that it all flows together so well in her chic LO titled Tour Eiffel.
The COOL feeling of this “It Does Not Do…” layout by faerywings comes from all those wintery white swirls and paint splats against that gorgeous golden paper. Plus,it has such a nice European chic polish to it, especially with how she handled the text work.
We’ve had enough of winter, right? So, let’s move on to some COOL techniques (that do not involve snow in any way) as shown in this vibrant layout, Hieland Coos by Ellen. Don’t you love how the elements (like that piece of lace) and brushes and photos all seems to blend into each other and the paper so well?
Continuing on with our COOL techniques (and animals), the vibe on this airy layout, Wind in My Face by sssnoo just puts me in a spring, summery, warm-weather kind of mood. And the photo makes me laugh ‘cuz the dog looks like he is having a fabulous time and is quite a cool character riding around in a red convertible.
And speaking of cool characters, how can you not love a layout that features the original Mr. Cool himself, James Dean, stepping right out of the frame (‘cuz he was the original rebel and wasn’t going to fit in anybody’s box)? Frani has created all sorts of blended and painted magic with her James Dean layout that makes me swoon.
So that’s it for this week! Make sure to join us here next Wednesday to see all the gallery goodness and see if YOUR layout has been featured!
