With all the amazing layouts filling the gallery these days, it’s taken me a bit longer to choose so I’m behind schedule…and in the end, I ended up with more finalists than usual. The emphasis this time is on photos and how we use those photos that just grab our hearts or inspire our creativity somehow. From the simple to the complex, let’s see if you see what I see. 🙂
When you have a photo you just love, you can showcase it in a variety of ways. In doti40’s adorable layout, there are several cute photos but the center one has been stretched across the page panorama-style. It’s an unexpected way to showcase a favorite photo.
In Franlk’s Happy Halloween, she has taken a fabulous photo and given it almost 3/4 of the page with a vertical orientation so you can get the full impact of those pretty baby blue eyes. Add in the smaller photo to give the overall context and some great embellishments such as the pretty lace to match the textured look of the smocking and that smiling jack-o-lantern for the kiddie vibe and you have a gorgeous page.
If you really love a photo like the one in Jopke’s Inspire layout, give it art gallery treatment and let it shine all on its own with just a few touches like the stitching and script and text .
For something different, you could play with color intensity and add the text and other embellishments into the photo itself in a way that still highlights the photo like faby33’s Amsterdam layout.
When playing with color, you can do some fun things with hues and extractions like the quirky and wonderful Mary layout by Applechick.
You can take just part of your photo and pair it with lots of color play and other goodies and you’ll have something fabulous like cocodou’s Artsy.
For an all-out “WOW!” factor, pair a great action photo with color play, extractions, blending and all sorts of digi goodness and you’ll have this Motorcross masterpiece by Miki.
Some incredible layouts this week, right? Can’t wait to see what goodies you all come up with next! Don’t forget to share your creations in the O gallery so you can keep on inspiring us !
