Photoshop Elements 14

This is a very blendy layout. I chose Artsy Paper #1 for my background, then blended in the three photos along the top using inverted masking. I duplicated each photo a few times on different blending modes to get special effects, also using different opacities for each layer. I used various layers of the Artsy Transfers to add color and texture to the composition, blending details in and out using layer masks. I completed the layout with the front page of the NY Times and the beaded threadz and butterfly.

I am so "glad" that you used the NYT as part of this. That image is going to be one for the history books like the photo of the firemen and flag on the Pile after 9/11. This is a very beautiful and powerful way to memorialize the day in contrast with a golf trip.

Marvelous blending--and the words are such a memorialization of the positive.

Love how your photos and comments work together. The positivity of the reds and yellows. We agree and see lots of positive things we've wanted all our lives, but one couple we know is furious that the economy is toast and they complain bitterly.

Yes, important to look for silver linings, This is beautifully done. Love the inclusion of the newspaper headlines and superb blending - one would think you were all together.

I love how your page depicts the good that will come out of this, because that's how I want to see it. Wonderful collage effect as always from you.
