**Cider Artsy Transfers—coming soon!**

Two sweet grand-dogs, two cool and festive sweaters, a handful of snapshots pulled off Instagram, and memories I definitely wanted to document.

I began with Cider solid paper #1 and pulled in an Artsy Transfer with a big brown stain area, behind which to hide most of Ollie except his face and a bit of his sweater—I blended him in with inverted layer-masking. I did the same with Buko, hiding the weird edges of the blending by building up multiple stain, texture, and gold paint layers from the entire selection of Artsy Transfers. This is one of my go-to techniques with Artsy Transfers—deconstructing them and then layering up all the different parts in different configurations to disguise less than optimal photographs. I also gave Buko a little texture to stand on so it didn't look like he was floating—in the photo he was on beige carpeting so once that was blended out he looked like he was levitating.

Once the primary photos were in place, I added the frame from the Artplay Palette and slipped in the photo of Ollie that shows the sweater pattern, then added the stitched house as a frame and the gold leaf layers from the Artsy Transfers...to fill in the background but also, again, as disguise: to cover the top of Ollie's head, which had some awkward blended edges because his hair goes every which way. The Multimedia Pumpkin came last, along with the word labels from the Artplay Palette. I couldn't resist adding a few Spooky Glows on hard light and vivid light blending modes at the end. Happy Halloween!
