Ageless Beauty

This image is of my beautiful white stallion, purebred Arabian horse, Silver Wind Van Nina who died in my arms 18months after EI came to Queensland.

His beauty is ageless and continues through the sons and daughters he gifted me.

The photo is by friend, Irene Flissinger. I processed it in Photoshop CC
The background of the photo was created in Photoshop CC
The layout is by Manu Designs - Ageless Beauty - Papers, elements, word art, jewel overlays, painted overlays
Paper blended into the notebook - Manu Designs Be Free 03a
Butterflies & splashes by Anna Aspenes AASPN Multimedia Flutterbys 2-3A, 2-4A, 2-5 & 2-5C used in lower cluster

Thank you for the Challenge, Brighteyes, and the opportunity to submit my first piece to the Oscraps family.

Janice

oh WOW!!!! Janice, this is spectacular!! and by the way, welcome to Oscraps!!! How very sad for you! to lose such a stunning and magnificent creature like that!

Janice, I just tried to find your beautiful layout in the gallery and couldn't? Did you upload to the Oscraps gallery? If not then you will need to, and then link your layout from the gallery to the layout you post here in the challenge thread.

Here a couple of links for some tutorials if you need them:

- This is a short video from one of our designers, Vicki Robinson ---> https://ozone.oscraps.com/forum/showthread.php?t=37979
- A written tutorial with plenty of screen shots ----> https://ozone.oscraps.com/forum/showthread.php?t=32641

In the Need Help? Ask Here forum you will find a lot of other useful information as well if you want to check it out or ask any questions ---> https://ozone.oscraps.com/forum/forumdisplay.php?f=20

Hope that helps

Jean, what a cute little chipmunk you have captured in your photo. Really brought a smile to my face. Glad you like working with large photos - they are a favorite of mine, too.l

Janice, welcome to OScrap!!! So glad to have you here with us. What a beautiful horse... so sad that you lost him. My heartaches for you. Yes, you will need to link your gallery image to your post so we can find it and leave you some love. If you have any questions, just ask and myself or one of the Cherry O's team will be glad to help.

Ona, thanks for stepping in giving Janice the info on how to do that.

Default OOps

So sorry but I have made a double faux pas here.

The layout I have used I purchased through Manu's Etsy shop and she does not appear to have the layout available here.

I can only hope that it will be all up from here.

Thank you Ona and Brighteyes for the help.

Janice

Here is my page for the challenge.

Journaling reads

George looks very handsome in his 2nd
county of London Yeomanry uniform. He
served for three years with the British Army
Territorial Force which was intended to be
a home defense force for service during
wartime. The adopted forces nickname
“ Rough Riders” was taken from the US
Calvary Regiment that fought in the
American-Spanish war.

This photo was taken in London in George’s
parent’s back yard. This lovely seat appears
in a number of photos. I was told that it was
destroyed in the second world war, I believe
the photo was taken before 1912 as he filed
for a homestead in Saskatchewan, Canada
in that year.

As I examined the photo, I noticed his father,
James, in the background. I am certain
at the time the term “photo bomb” was not
coined yet. This is a special photo
as it is the only photo I have of them together
George was Olive’s favorite brother.

It was an exciting treasure hunt to put together
this information from his Canadian Overs Seas
Expeditionary papers and internet
information to determine the uniform.
