Chris, Chris, I failed high school maths Algebra - bah!! But all those curves reminded me I had this photo of a pelican I’ve been wanting to scrap. Look at how those wings furl! My excuse is I used the Fibonacci number sequence like this - one huge bill, two awkward webbed feet etc - well I told you I was bad at math!! I included a number one alpha for you to find.

You can use this image to create your text path.
How I did it is like this:

I dragged this image onto my LO and resized it to spread across the entire page.
Select the Pen Tool and added anchor points, following the curved line.
I hid the spiral layer
Selected the Text tool and then on Left Justify.
Clicked on the Path and started typing.

There might be an easier way to do this and if there is, I would love to see how.

Text paths are SO confusing.. I still struggle even after taking Amanda's wonderful class...twice! Still have to refer back....

OK... Now my head is spinning... Decided I should go look at your links, and try to learn something from this challenge... You know you could have just put up a pretty spiral and said there is your inspiration!!! Who knew that there was all this mathematical stuff attached to it??? Well like everyone else , Math is NOT my best subject!!! but is WAS interesting... off to Christmas card creation!
