And NO, it isn't that photos weren't invented yet. There are photos, just not in my house.

Another fab challenge. Thanks for hosting, Marijke.

One of my earliest Christmas memory is that Santa always sent pjs and slippers for us to open on Christmas eve. But when I was 4, he left me another present to open early—it was prettiest party dress to wear on Christmas day. It was just what I wanted. And I've been his biggest fan ever since.

Used Anna Aspnes' APP elf.

This challenge took me forever!
Not finding my actual memory but the journaling
that went along with it!

The challenge was so much fun cause it had me going through all those old photos, trying to figure out what I remember and when.
It was the big, black dog that I recall getting that Christmas along with showing my brother John the magic that was Christmas!

Thanks so much for all the holiday fun!

The text says:
It was Christmas Eve, 1949.
I had just turned seven the previous week.
Now I was spending the holiday with
my best friend Marilyn and her family
as I did every year while my mother worked.
We were all in the living room admiring
the beautiful tree and listening to the radio,
(Very few people had television sets back then
in...the dark ages....)
All of a sudden, we heard a new Christmas song
being sung by the famous Gene Autry. Marilyn and
her little brother and I, were enraptured by the
story song. The new song continued to be played
throughout that Christmas, and all the Christmases
which followed.
