![]() Welcome to a new, occasional All About Me challenge from the Cheery-Os, and this month it’s my turn. Despite its name, I’m actually going to talk about my grandmother – bear with me, there’s a bit of back-story to this challenge… My grandmother came to live in Britain in her mid 50s having lived a rather privileged life in India and the standing joke was that she reputedly could not even boil an egg or make toast. And yet, she survived for over 35 years, so she must have cooked something. But what? I realised I have absolutely no idea what my grandmother cooked, what they ate, how they lived on a daily basis, what were the minutiae of my grandparents lives? I never asked and my father didn’t seem to notice. All of which lead me to think what small details my grandchildren might want to know about me? Little things, everyday things, like what we eat or read or watch – things we might think insignificant today, but might be an intriguing part of our social history to those that come after us. So, lets start at the beginning, lets record our morning routines; what do you eat & drink? What time do you get up? Why then? Does your routine change according to the day? Who do you speak with? What do you like/dislike about your routine? Are you a morning person or the proverbial bear with a sore head? How does your routine differ today from when you were a child/had small kids/last year/yesterday? There are many ways you could tackle this challenge – you could write a list, use time as your bullet points, write in prose, fill the entire page with your words, write it in verse. The choice is yours, but it is important that you write about YOU - not your children, not your dogs - but you, what you do, what you feel, what you think. I did this writing exercise back in June and re-reading my words now I realise that my entire routine has changed significantly because my daughter has moved schools. Strange that an alteration to someone else’s daily life has altered mine considerably, so I view this as total justification for repeating this challenge to myself. Come and join me… ![]() Here's one by Chris ![]() And one by Sue ![]() And one by Linda ![]() RULES: Scrap a page about an your morning routine You must use 80% OSCRAPS products Your page must be placed in the Number 5 Challenge Gallery by midnight PST Wednesday 31st October 2012 and linked back to this thread YOU REALLY MUST HAVE FUN!!!! Remember to update your post in the monthly Tracking Thread to receive your credit for this challenge (link to new monthly thread). __________________
