Default Uploading image: KB vs K

I'm so confused.

I have created an image 600x464 at 72 resolution.
It says the image size is 815.6K

I can't upload it because it too big.

How many "K"s equals 250KB?

I'm SO CONFUSED!

I see you uploaded an image shortly after this post. Is that the one you had questions about? If so, it seems you figured it out!

In any case, K and KB are the same thing (kilobytes). If you are using your scrapping program's "save for web" feature, there should be a step where you can choose how large your end product will be. Since the limit at many galleries is 250 KB, I try to choose a size in the 247-248 KB range for the best quality. If this process isn't familiar to you, post back here with what program you are using and we can figure it out.

As Angie already mentioned, k and kb mean the same thing. All programs are different so let us know what program you are using. It seems you were on the right path, all you needed to do was get that initial size down a bit from 815kb down to under 250kb........ is there a little slider you can move to get the size down?

Let us know how you get on, we are all more than happy to give you a hand.

Thank Ladies, and yes shorty after I posted the question I was able to upload it.

I'm using PS Cloud. I'll have to look and see if there's a "Save to Web" option. I know I have one in Lightroom, but I don't use that to digiscrap.

Thanks so much for your speedy reply!

You can go to File_ Export- Save for web! On the right hand side is a slider for Quality and on the bottom on the left you can find the info about the KB's!
