I was inspired by the ombre. So I used and ombre paper and tried to apply an ombre effect to my flower.

The petals and waterdrops made me think of these water lily pics I took last week.

I just commented on your page that I had to ask you about this-- what a great idea to "ombre" the flower. How did you do that??

I think I was so distracted by the Back to School Challenges (don't forget, you still have time to finish them too!) that I missed commenting on a bunch of your pages here.
I am working my way way through them and wow, they are all amazing!!

Keep them coming!!

Christ, I applie a hue/saturation adjustment in photoshop to turn the flower blue and then I applied a gradient overlay effect (the white to transparent one) and played with the opacity until it looked right. (I used 64% for this flower.)

I'm kind of obsessed with ombre right now, so the white to transparent gradient overlay is my favorite. I used it on a paper I was designing myself and then discovered Paislee Press had some great ombre papers in her Diptych kit. Ombre for everyone!

hehe! I like ombre too. My teenage dd is always talking about ombre hair and nail, which is why I never thought about it in a scrap sense!
