Challenge No. 6 - Mult-Designer December

It's time once again for our Multi-Designer challenge.
This month it's...a Multi-Designer speed-scrap formula.
It's getting to be that time of year, where there is too much to do, not only shopping and decorating and cooking and entertaining, but also Documenting December and such scrapping traditions, and so our challenge scrapping can fall behind. We can't let that happen!! So I am going to give you a quick-and-dirty formula to follow.

All you need for your December Multi-Designer page is SIX THINGS plus your picture(s). The twist is that each of the six things must be from a different designer. It's OK to use Oscraps collabs.

Here is your formula:
1. paper
2. frame
3. fastener
4. word art
5. elements x 3 (can be the same element repeated 3xs or three related elements)
6. mask

If you stick to this formula, I challenge you to create your page in less than 1 hour! If you have more time and want to add more, show us your speed version and your extended version.

Here is my quick page finished in less than 1 hour.
Background paper - Val C from Oscraps collab It's a Wonderful Life, frame - Vicki Stegall Summer Time, fastener - Maya de Groot Fond of Fasteners, work art - TaylorMade Spa Getaway, elements - Crafty Button Country Rose, mask - Anna Aspnes Painted FotoBlendz

Some additional inspiration from our Cheery-O's, from Veer:

and from Ritacica:

  1. Speed-scrap a page using the 6-designer/6-thing formula. This month I will let you use Collabs.
  2. You must use 80% OSCRAPS products.
  3. Your page must be placed in the Number 6 Challenge Gallery by midnight PST Saturday the 31st of December 2013 and linked back to this thread

Remember to update your post in the December monthly Tracking Thread to receive your credit for this challenge.

That was fun Diane! I only had one hour this afternoon to scrap this layout... not sure I will add more on it, so here is the 'speed-scrap' version:

Love this challenge and it gave me a chance to finally do this photo from May. And I did this speed scrap version in just under an hour.

dwsewbiz 12-02-2013 08:39 AM

Oh that's fabulous Jean! So glad the formula worked as a speed scrap! I need to do more of these...I spend too much time fussing...I enjoy it, but sometimes you just need to get some pages done :-)

Thanks for playing!!

Flor I just love how cold and snowy your background looks, and with that pop of pink, so pretty!

Its interesting that I see a bit of a pattern emerging, even though that was not my initial intent. I am liking this formula thing!

Rita that is just lovely with a limited palette and the beautiful sketchy background!

And Sabine I love how you took a 'soft' subject and tied it up with a grungy string...just great!

Thanks all for playing!

marijke 12-03-2013 10:28 PM

ooh love it marijke, makes me feel calm :-)

SharLamb 12-07-2013 08:59 PM

Forgot to time myself since I did it in two short sessions, but I know it was under an hour. Thanks for THAT challenge too!

dwsewbiz 12-08-2013 10:11 AM

Oh fabulous Shar! Isn't it so releasing to do a quick layout? !

Love that elf!

Bush Girl 12-09-2013 02:14 PM

Here's mine - this took me ages as it's out of my comfort zone style wise, but I'm so pleased with the result.

dwsewbiz 12-09-2013 08:26 PM

You should be pleased Selena, it's wonderful! But I guess the speed scrap part didn't work for you ;-)

But the most important part is to be happy with your page! Thanks for playing!!

Secima 12-11-2013 11:31 AM

Diane, thank you for the challenge. The time was hardly enough. :)

Here is my page.

dwsewbiz 12-11-2013 09:02 PM

Oh that's lovely Secima! I am so enjoying these formula layouts!

Andrea C. 12-12-2013 08:03 PM

We can ONLY use those six things or can we add more stuff as long as those things are there? I just want to clarify before I start creating!

dwsewbiz 12-13-2013 08:24 AM

Hi Andrea...try to stick to those 6 things, plus your picture, and an hour.

BUT, you MUST be happy with your page!!

So if you want to add more time and more things, please do so. But take a snap of your page after an hour and the formula, then a final. I would love to see the difference :-)

Andrea C. 12-14-2013 07:32 PM

Great! Thanks :)
