WOW, have Cricuts come a long way since my Expression!! I have had two bad experiences with Cricuts so shy away from them, but maybe these new computer ones are better. It sure looks interesting!

Nancy cricut changed a lot I myself had the old one went to silhouette and now back to cricut.
They don't use cartridge, they are web based and you can use a table also to cut things I will be posting more videos but take a look at their website.

This is a great idea! I dabble a bit in AJ and was a hybrid scrapper for years and then gave it up but I always say I'm going to go back to it. I have a silhouette that is gathering dust (never even used it).

I am going to try this too, Maya has a silhouette!
We do use it to cut but we have never cut out printed stuff before!

You can certainly do the same sheet process and cut by hand I did many times

This is a neat idea. No cricut or silhouette here but I love the concept.
Those kits are awesome as well. I love doing AJ digi pages so I am going to follow along a bit, too.

I'm always happy to see articles on art journaling, but I am digital-only.

Okay, I will show you my very first try at print and cut with the Silhouette Cameo!
No laughing allowed!

https://ozone.oscraps.com/gallery/data/1383/silhouette-action-1.jpg

That was obviously no success!
The Silhouette is connected to a spare laptop,
the printer is connected to our daily, Always in use laptop!
So when I gave the print command, I used 'one note' so I could send it to my other laptop and printer.

The result, let's call it artsy!

So this week I installed our printer on the other laptop and connected it to the printer and tried it again.

This looks much better!
Not perfect yet, but I think that will be a matter of trying more and more!

Question: Do you use special paper to print ?

I used ordinary print paper for my trial run = 80 grams paper
so I could see where the markers end up

I used heavier paper to use with the cutter = 120 grams paper.

I am thinking of getting 200 grams paper for this,

what do you use for this?

I buy this 110 lb from Amazon (https://www.amazon.com/Neenah-Paper-Sheets-Brightness-WAU40411/dp/B010CEI60O/ref=sr_1_9_a_it?ie=UTF8&qid=1482252927&sr=8-9&keywords=cardstock+paper). It's hard to find higher LB in stores.
But if you want to print and cut and later use gel medium I would print and cut in regular paper.

We will have things for digital as well .Art Journal section here is meant to be for both.
So soon we will start with things that will be for both digital and hybrid/paper art journalers.

I'm always happy to see articles on art journaling, but I am digital-only.

Thanks Jana

110 lb would be ca. 160 grams paper for me.
I will have to see what works best for me!

Will update here when finished!
