Hi everyone! I hope you’ve been enjoying the wonderful challenges and fun for January. I’m back with another focus on journaling.
This time, I’d like to try and take another simple technique and make it work for you. Today’s focus is going to be on something most of use all the time, calendars! After I had my son, I was given the idea of using a calendar to capture the little moments with him. Keeping a calendar handy and just jotting down a brief sentence or words about the significant events that took place that day.
We’re going to adapt that concept for our digital journaling. A calendar – whether it’s weekly or monthly – is a great way to add some detail on your page. Think of it like P365 or P52, but with words instead of pictures! I’ll admit, it was a bit harder this time to find samples of what I had in mind, but I found some for you! (If you all could just step inside my head and see what I have in mind…..wait….nevermind…no one wants to go there!!)
Anywho, check out some samples from our Oscraps members.
Nancyr used one of the P365 templates to jot down all the memories for the month! Though she does have a page of pictures to go with it, you wouldn’t have to include pictures. Just keep track of the month on a file you keep adding to…and viola!! Instant calendar journaling.
Diane took another P365 template and circled and notated special dates!
And take a spin around the internet searching for “calendar journaling”. There’s some fantastic art out there that might inspire you to switch it up a bit on your pages.
So break it down into simple bits. There doesn’t have to be a photo for every day or every week. But by using a calendar system, you might be able to fill in the bits that would otherwise get missed!
