12 Days of Photos CHALLENGE
Day 1: Family
Our first challenge for you is a Photo Scavenger Hunt. Each day we will provide you with a topic for a photo. These topics can be translated however you would like. At the end of the 12 days you can take those photos and create a layout to win a prize. The designers have been so gracious to offer us many prizes to give away for our Holiday challenges. So today’s topic is: FAMILY. How do you celebrate the holidays with your family? Do you eat, bake, search for Christmas lights, decorate? Show us what you do as a family. Or you can even show us who is your family. When I lived far away from my family I created a whole new family away from home. Feel free to post your photos in our 12 Days Forum. This challenge deadline will be Dec. 31 since we know some of you will want to take some of these photos later in the month. Please post your completed layouts in our Special O-vents Gallery. Come back everyday to find out what the next photo will be.
What would a challenge be without prizes?? I have 2 amazing prizes for 2 random participants of this challenge.
$10 coupon to our newest designer – Jenn Labre’s store
1 coupon for any Oscraps Collab
Please watch the forum for a thread to share your photos and layouts with everyone. This is how we will keep track of the challenges for prizes. Also there will be a “Special Events” gallery that you can post your layouts in. Can’t wait to see what you guys photograph.
12 Photos are never easy to scrap so Sandrine has graciously helped us out by creating this fantastic template with 12 photo spots.
Every year on the day after Thanksgiving many Americans start the process of getting ready for Christmas. In other countries people start getting ready before or after then but in the US that is the official start date. That’s when the sales begin and all the other holidays are finished so we can start focusing on Christmas. My favorite way to get into the holiday spirit is to watch Holiday movies. I love the classics and even some of the new classics that have become a part of my holiday tradition. I know what movies are my favorite but I thought I’d ask the other Cheery-O’s what their favorite Holiday movies were and I was reminded of some other amazing movies that I now need to watch.
I didn’t want any of you to miss those fabulous movies so I am providing you with some viewing information.
TBS will provide the annual A Christmas Story Marathon beginning Christmas Eve night.
The Hallmark Channel has already begun 1300 hours of holiday programming
ABC Family has scheduled 25 Days of Christmas beginning today with a couple of new movies
I found THIS site to help you with your holiday movie planning.
Here are some reminders of some favorite Christmas Movies from our Cheery-O’s
We’ll start off the classics. No Holiday season is complete without a few of the oldies to keep us festive.
Of course the kids could care less about the nostalgia of the classics and so you must get your fill on some of these often overplayed children’s favorites.
After a long day of fighting the crowds at some shopping center there is nothing a little bit of humor won’t fix.
When you can’t find those and you are flipping through channels sometimes you come across these fabulous movies that you just can’t miss.
