Designer Interview with Ashelee Wall
1) What is your favorite color and why?
You know that is such a hard question to answer. I love color so I don’t know if I have a favorite or not. I might have moods of color if that makes sense. Where I will be drawn to colors that are in sync with what I am feeling. So I guess right now my moods are pale green and pinks etc. I am in a girlie sorta mood :O)
2) What is your favorite thing to design? What is your least favorite thing to design?
Fav by far is paper I love papers and I love to design papers. I love every single thing about the design process of paper. Least fav thing would be word art. I am not that great when it comes to the spoken word.
3) How would you describe your style? Now describe it to a 5-year-old.
All over the place. That is how I would describe it. Ok so now to a 5 year old……On Monday you want to put on your polka dot dress with tights. On Tuesday you want to wear jeans with a fuzzy sweater. On Wednesday you want to wear your party dress with your high heels then on Thursday you want to wear your pajamas all day. But on Friday it’s raining so you get to wear your raincoat with your bright pink rain boots!
4) Sweet or salty? Wine or chocolate? Beach or ski vacation? Coffee or tea?
Both LOL. Chocolate, Beach, TEA!! TEA!! TEA!! and then a little coffee 😉 Was born drinking tea 🙂
5) If you could be a superhero, what would you want your superpowers to be?
oooh great question. Ok I think it would have to be Laura Croft just for the fact that she has traveled to some insane places all over the world! That would be such a great thing to do. Super powers would have to be to make children go to bed on time and wake up ready and happy to go to school!
6) What is your favorite kit ever?
It’s my first every one! It’s horrible lol but it was the first ever kit I had ever made and it’s makes me proud because I had no idea what I was doing but some how it made one.
7) What is the primary source of your inspiration? Where do you go, or what do you do, to rejuvenate?
Life, books, magazines, everything. Inspiration is in every thing around me and everyone else. It’s amazing what people can create and talking with or watching on TV people who are fired up about what they do is amazing to me. I read a lot to get feel at peace that helps for sure.
8) What do you see as the future of digital scrapbooking?
The future of digital I think will be it becoming more commercialized with more and more big companies moving in to the playing field. I also think that with big companies paying more attention to the digital industry that hybrid is going to be huge! It already is but when the merging of a favorite stamp or paper company starts to go digital then it will really start to open up the whole digital/paper crafting field more and more. Big things are opening up for this cottage industry and it can only bring in wonderful talent and more beautiful crafting designs for us all.
