This month O-Scrappers are rockin’ the Color Challenge! Hi, Diane here, bringing you some stars from the O-Gallery!
For most of us, at least those of us in the Northern Hemisphere, January means COLD! Icy silvers and whites with a touch of blue, or the grays of rainy days with not much blooming. And so for our Color Challenge, we went to the opposite end of the metallic spectrum, to warm saffrons and golds and browns.
And the O-Scrappers met with challenge with spades!
Here are just some of the color stars from the Color Challenge O-Gallery
Kentra Bay did a beautiful job of blending her photo into warm gold paper, with peeks of film strips providing wondering framing and anchoring. That touch of red warms the page even more, and love the accent brushwork that adds motion.
New member Shinta from the Faroe Islands focused her photo in a lovely set of golden yellow papers…how sweet is the picture of an innocent and loving baby kiss. Her touch of pink echoes the baby cheeks and mama lips so sweetly!
This page from Iken makes me long for summer on the beach, on a day so sunny the colors are bleached out to yellows and golds.
Kaliki calls this ‘stay little’… oh how we all wish we could make that come true! how gorgeous is this little girl, with her hair so beautifully blended into peach swirliness, making you almost feel the soft breeze blowing!
Madi’s bust of Julius Cesar has so much dimension it looks like its sculpted out of the page! The touch of grunge and popped off-center frame makes it even more dimensional!
Ang’s recolored winter scene turns the heat up on an otherwise icy scene:
And finally, I am a sucker for a dog page, and this one is no exception. Look how cute and proud this fellow looks sitting in the snow, and how perfect is the photo framed in gold.
Be sure to join us starting next week for our February Color Challenge!
