Journaling...
As the family sat in library discussing various members of the family tree, Millie studied the darkly paneled walls and all the tiny photos resting on the dusty shelves. There was a crescent shaped window over the main bookcase that had been tinted in avocado green, one of mother’s favorite decorating choices. Millie was quite sure that the window was the top of the family tree everyone was talking about. Millie was intrigued by the old photos lining the shelves around her. Mother said the oldest photos went back many decades. Millie got it into her head that she wanted to climb to the top of the family tree. Before embarking on this adventure, she thought it best to find her stuffed rabbit. He was good company and would appreciate sitting atop the tree with her. When Millie finally gathered her nerve (and her rabbit) and began her ascent, she went slowly up careful not to knock any of the tiny, antique frames. When she reached the top, she was just high enough to look out the window and just in time to see the sun setting over the garden. It was then that Millie heard her mother begin the tale of the outlaw who courted Grandma Mandy.

process...
I opened one of the new artsy papers and duplicated it. The first layer is set to normal, the second to soft light. The printer's tray was placed on top of the artsy paper and duplicated twice. One copy was moved right of center and the other left of center to form the bookcase. Using the Edit>Transform>Perspective, I changed modified the sides. The image on the right is clipped to a fotoblendz and then blended over the bookcase. The same process was used for the image on the left. I extracted the little girl (my aunt) and put her on top of the bookcase. The foliage is added in multiple layers behind her. I've added drop shadows to all of the foliage layers. The rabbit is tucked behind my aunt and the kitty is on one of the bookshelves. I added additional shadowing to the center tray so that I could try to push the letters back into the tray. I used metal letters because these are printer trays. The hardest part was figuring out how to put on a title and get the journaling to fit (a struggle with just about every page I do). I gave up on a true title and added the journaling where it fit. To finish, I added the green glow of the avocado tinted window :-)

I love that you spin a great tale.... using art and imagination...it's all about the fun in your pages but with fantastic techniques thrown in, never taking yourself too seriously....sigh..
