Anna Aspnes’

AnnaBlendz Artsy No. 7 [ link ]
ArtPlay MiniPalette Memento
Memento WordART Mix No. 1 [ link ]
ButtonThreadz No. 2 [ link ]
LightLeaks No. 3 [ link ]
Camera FotoBlendz No. 1 [ link ]

Process: Above artsy paper 1, I placed solid paper 2 on color at 50%. I clipped the photo to fotoblendz mask 2. I added a black and white adjustment layer to the photo and gave it a little color with a light leak. I extracted the kids’ legs with the pen tool to add more dimension to my page. I added a button and threads along the lines I drew with the line tool, a technique Adryane shared at Anna's ArtPlay Unedited 2. I wrote my journaling recounting the events of Wednesday morning. For my inspiration and reasons for using an extraction on this page, click this [ link ].

Thanks for looking:)

The page is wonderful, but what I can read of the journaling brings terror to my heart. There will be a WEEK this summer when Dave and I will be in charge of all five of our Utah grandchildren! =:O The oldest, 16, will be a help when she's not working, but they go all the way down to 4 years old. We did it, by the grace of God last summer. Praying for the same grace this year. We have discovered it Takes A Village just to get out a complete sentence these days. Anyway, I love your blending and the B&W.

LOL it probably was JUST like that! Sometimes hard to remember, when I look back, how I got through young motherhood with three. Love this page, and the open look--it has the vibe of one of Adryane's heritage pages--and I love the linework.

Yes, those framing lines do give balance and your extraction certainly can allow for more depth. Changing the photo to b&w changes the mood of your page, too. Been in your position with the grandchildren and it certainly seems like it is more difficult now but I think the fact they are not your own children brings added stress.

Every day we are given stones, but what do we build? Is it a bridge or is it a wall?
