Hugs, Merkee Merkeley Designs My challenge is now officially over. Wooooooooohooooooooo!!! Are you ready for some fun this week? We are getting to know our own Merkee from Merkeley Designs!!! YAY!!!!  Merkee's challenge is this: Use the sampler Either - Or and scrap with either this one or that one. The sampler has two of each of the following: solid paper, pattern paper, flower, wrap, circle, fastener, envelope and ribbon. You must use one of each of the 8 items on your layout and only one. You may have multiples of that one, but not any other of that item from the sampler. You may add other items from other kits. But you must use at least one each of the 8 items from the sampler or it doesn't count. For example: You choose the blue flower, you can have 5 of the blue flowers if you want but you can't use the plum colored one. If you choose the brown paper, you can't use the grey paper. The items are labeled 1 and 2 in the kit for easy identification as to what items go together. Overview, your layout must include one of each of the following from the sampler: (note: You may even colorize any of the items below if you need to) 1 solid paper 1 pattern paper 1 flower 1 wrap 1 circle 1 fastener 1 envelope 1 ribbon  Okay...before we give out that link to that wonderful sampler kit, let's find out what YOU can win by completing this challenge and posting your LO in THIS DESIGNER SPOTLIGHT GALLERY and putting your link in this thread here!!!!

We've gotten her to spill some info about her innermost secrets!! so read on!!!  Tell us a bit about you...who are you, your family, where ya live, etc... I'm the mother of two teens. Both of my kids are homeschooled. I have a wonderful step-daughter who is about to make us Grandparents in October. I am crazily married to my best friend. We celebrated our 20th anniversary this year. He always makes me laugh. I love animals and we now have 3 cats and 1 dog. I live in Northern California and have been here most of my life. I love all things crafty and related to my computer. I am a WII bowling fanatic and bowl every night with hubby. How did you start scrappin? I really don't find much time for scrappin. I started out taggin and scrapping evolved from my love of working in my graphics program. How did you start designing? I was already in love with creating on my computer and I stumbled across a Yahoo group that taught the basic elements. I started creating digital kits and started selling in July 2005. I slowly made my way to OScraps early last year. What's your favorite thing about designing? The freedom to create whatever I'm inspired to do. Also, seeing people create layouts using something I've created. That is the ultimate. What do you like to do the most - paper, elements, a specific element, etc? I like to do elements. I love to use cardboard. What is the one thing you want O'gals to know about ya? I love being a part of OScraps. They are in my thoughts more than they can imagine. How'd ya get your nickname? Hubby gave it to me. I have lots of nicknames. Merkeley Designs evolved from Merkee which evolved from Mary. Anything else ya want to add.... I think everyone should find things to make them laugh.
