Thumbs up Nov 2010 Creative Techniques Challenge - Erasing

Wow! It's November already!!! Yikes, where did the year go!!!??

Okay, something simple this month yet something that is so very versatile - ERASING!

We can use the Eraser tool to do extraction work, get rid of unwanted things (that would be sooooo good in RL don't you think?!) and to blend photos either into background paper or another photo.

This month we are looking at the latter, using the eraser tool to blend photos together.

I know that some of you have problems because you use other programs so I am pretty sure EVERYONE will be able to play this month as everyone should have an eraser tool!!!!! Well I hope you do!!!

In the example below I have blended THREE photos together to create this picture. So it's not really a collage, rather a new picture entirely!

So read the tutorial I have prepared for you and then read what the challenge rules are for this month. I hope that you will join me to have some fun this month and try out a new technique if you haven't done this before!!!!

And this is the end result of blending the three photos together (closeup):

To create my layout that is at the beginning of this post, I simply picked a colour from the photo for my background, put a white border around the picture and made it smaller and then added a large title to finish it all off!

REMEMBER that the Oscraps Challenge rules have changed!!!! Make sure you read about the new point system here! HERE

- Create a LO using 3 photos that you have blended together using the Eraser tool - no masking for this one!!!
- Your 3 photos can be blended to create an entirely new picture or as a collage.
( Layer Blending Modes etc can be used if you wish)
- Scrap about anything you like
- You need to use at least 80% of Oscraps designer products - check out their FREEBIES!! (note: Freebies from Oscrap members do not qualify)
- Make sure to load your LO into the Creative Techniques Challenge Gallery and then link your LO to this thread. (SEE IMPORTANT NOTE BELOW!)
- Challenge closes at midnight Tuesday 30th November 2010 at midnight (CST)

1. Once you post your LO in the CREATIVE TECHNIQUES CHALLENGE GALLERY and you need to link back to THIS CHALLENGE THREAD and pop in the LO too so we can all drool over it. (Don't know how to link a LO to a thread, then check this out: http://ozone.oscraps.com/forum/showthread.php?t=18158 )

2 To receive your point for the challenge, YOU MUST LINK YOUR PAGE IN THE CHALLENGE TRACKING THREAD AS WELL !!! (But NO pictures this time! )

3. HAVE FUN!!!

OMG that is awesome, I never seem to use the eraser tool! I'm really hoping I've got time to play with this one.
