What a GREAT idea... Love the challenge... Now to find the time to do something with it... But Diane has given me a great idea... I have something similar I could use...

I normally mat these with black, so this was an interesting change.

This is more art therapy for me!....They built this coloring contest up and said "show us your best work," but then drew randomly! The 8 year old boy winner looked like it took him all of 2 seconds. It would have been okay if they had told us that the winner would be random. I am always okay with random, if I know and am prepared. It was just one more in a long string of "we don't really mean what we say," in that location and it was a very good learning experience. I loved the quote and that is the good that came out of it. That and my eldest can really do a great job even if he has never done something before in his life....go sweetie!

Joanne, I love your daughter's work! Love the titles and history...so much fun, thank you for sharing. I love it when a designer does that!

Thank you so much for sharing this layout!! I adore the story behind this page, how hard he worked on that colouring page and how proud you were of his dedication! I love how you were able to turn a disappointing memory into a page that really celebrated your son!

The same type of thing happened with my daughter a few years back. She entered a drawing contest at my dad's work and really poured her heart into this drawing. She didn't win the contest, and while she was disappointed, my parents were much more upset having seen how hard she had worked on her picture. I'm so excited that my parents kept that picture and I can now show it off in her art book. I love that we can do that as scrappers!
