Thanks Jacqueline. That one is strictly Windows. It's just been sooo long since I had to do a resize manually I had just about forgotten. I got another layout up but it was tedious. Just call me lazy!

Thanks for the link to MCP. I am used to using the longer way to use actions via the 3 file process (atn, png and xml files) for one action using the Effects Palette. From the MCP actions I see that the PP action works in the Action Player in the Guided tab of PSE. I've actually never used that tab so I learned something else! I just took a chance and installed the PP action according to the Action Player steps. Who knew?1?!?

I'm not quite clear why a photo 'saved for web' with that action is not enlargeable in the gallery yet when I do the whole process on my own, the web image is. Both web images are starting from jpegs sized for print at 3600x3600. Just an interesting twist?

Thanks again! Now I think I have to put off testing links til tomorrow!

Maureen what do you mean when you say "enlargeable in the gallery?" I'm not following.

On this image in the gallery, it says directly under the image "Click on image to view larger image". I'm used to that concept so one can read the journaling or text.

I believe the gallery reduces any image larger than 600 pixels on a side, but creates a link to view the original larger image. That larger image still has to fit the upload limits.

Maureen - I use Paint the Moon's Resize for Web action on my Mac. They are available here on Oscraps, though her shop isn't visible by the Designer tab.

Here is one for regular Photoshop and one for Elements. I don't know what version you have, but these work my CS3 and my PSE 6.0 on my Mac.

I hope that helps!!

Just wondering if the designer is still here cause that action says it's good up to PSE6. That's going to be 4 versions back in a month or so.

Annie isn't very active here anymore, which is why I think "Paint the Moon" doesn't show up under the designer list. But when I searched for the action, it was there. You could check her out on the web and see if she has newer actions than that one. (She also has some gorgeous photo actions.)
