It's an Oscraps Show & Tell - Aug. 24 to 31

With all of the little ones headed back to school - I just love the smell of new crayons - and watching as several friend's children began kindergarten last week, well, it's brought to mind everything that was fun during that first year of class.

Do you remember Show & Tell? Getting up in front of your classmates and talking about something "cool" and "fun" like your favorite stuffed bear, or the rock you like to keep in your pocket.

So, in honor of that spirit of fun...along with an "Oscraps" twist....here's the plan for this week.

It's time for an Oscraps Show & Tell!

1) Dig into your stash and create a layout (no specific theme - just have fun!) featuring some of your favorite Oscraps Designs.

2) Post the layout to the gallery (making sure to put a link in this thread).

3) In your post here, tell us why you love the kit/papers/elements/templates/word art (etc.) that you used.

That's it. It's your time to step in front of the class and shine! Tell us what you love about your Oscraps stash!

Who knows, there might be a treat in store for the "teacher's pet...."

I have lots of favourite stuff but some things you can use
over and over again. For me it's
- "a different grid" papers by Merkeley Designs,
I love the bright colours and the grid pattern.
- Vicki Stegall's Glitz elements, I just love glitter and alphas!
- Paintstrokes and wordart by Sue Cummings, you can use it
in so many ways.
- Ribbons by Sweet Genevieve, they look so real!
- Silver mine alpha beads by Blythe Evans, they're so cute.

So for this layout, I chose my pictures and started scrapping with my
favourite elements/papers and finished it with lots of boyish/masculine elements.

Chicks Dig Bass Player...

Totally easy and fun one for me.
I think that my all time favorite kit ever ever ever is Vicki Stegall's Rock On. It is full of grungy goodness. And considering my whole family is a bunch of metal heads LOL- the subject matter couldn't be better!
The word art is by Jodie McNally.


For this LO, I also used a template by Sally Keller, that I flipped and moved and removed - but that is what makes templates so fun!

Here is one of my favorite layouts and designer products. Wish I could post more than one though LOL.

What I love about these designers are the vast range of papers and elements they offer along with the versatility of their use. I like products I can use over and over that never appear dated. Each of these designers products is like having a new kit each time I do a layout using them. Everything is completely different.
