Spend any time on Pinterest and you will see a number of crafts involving chalkboard paint, chalkboard paper, chalkboard contact paper…chalkboard is all the rage. This month at Oscraps, one of our monthly challenge is all about chalkboard effects. But there are also tons of chalkboard fonts out there to explore too!
We have a couple of good chalkboard alphas in the Oscraps shop, one from Val C and one from Studio 68.
Here’s one of the best posts I’ve seen on chalkboard fonts. About 150 different fonts to choose from! There are elegant ones, distressed ones, childish ones, and teacher-style ones. Call me an enabler, but you need to check them out!
Here are a couple of other pins with awesome fonts that I found.
And if you can’t find a font that you like well enough out of all of that, I have one more tip for you. Try taking your text and putting it against a black or grey background, or even better – a chalkboard style paper. Changing the font color to white or light grey will give the effect of chalk nicely. You have lots of fun options for making your own chalkboard creations! Get out there and try one now!
