Hi all! Here’s Irene again with another small tip for you!
I found out there are some fun glitter styles in the kit Heart Matters by Jen Maddocks.
In Photoshop CS you can just drag the style into the program, but most of the times I use Photoshop Elements and you just can’t use these styles. But…. most glitter styles come with big version JPEG samples of the styles! Also in this kit you can find them. I’m going to show you how you can easily insert them into Photoshop Elements and how to use them.
Lets start with a layout, place a background and an element you want to give glitters.
Then choose one of the glitter-JPEG’s from the kit and drag it into PSE:
We can make a pattern of this file. Go to Edit and choose Define Pattern:
You can give it your own name, but I prefer to use the original name, because then it will be easier to find the kit or to credit it.
Now we are going back to the layout. Make sure you click on the layer you want to give glitters. Then you have to lock the transparent pixels:
Then we go to Edit and we choose Fill Layer:
Another menu will pop up. There you have to choose Pattern and then you can click on the glitter pattern you created a couple of steps above:
When you click on OK your layer will be filled with glitters!
Of course you can also use the JPEG files with Ctrl + G (Command on a Mac), but if you install them as pattern they are installed in your program and they are always there, ready to use.

Very interesting tuto Irene !
Thanks a lot !
