It is well-known that I do not give up summer easily! I love the colors of fall, but I don’t do winter layouts 🙂 And I LOVE flowers!
So this month we chose the beautiful Country Rose Collection by Crafty Button Designs. It was a hard choice, because we love every kit Amber designs. And we got some surprising results this month.
I tend to be very literal in my kit interpretations, and this page is no exception. As I said, I like pretty much everything Amber Button creates, as I love vintage ephemera and all things flowers. I just happened to have some very recent pictures of pink flowers from my yard and the neighborhood that I thought would look pretty with this kit. I loved intertwining the real flowers from the elements in the bundle. I was particularly drawn to the cherries card with the 57 because that is the year I was born, so I circled it
Life has been a little tough to me recently so I created a pretty page with some hopeful thoughts , using the word art in the kit.
Veer created quite a clean page with the contents of this ‘busy’ kit:
Flor used the kit to scrap a heritage page about her mother in law:
Irene also did a vintage/heritage page:
When I first saw the roses in this kit, I just knew I had to use at least one of them. I also loved the writing, it is great in combination with the vintage photo! I combined two different background papers. From one paper I only used the left and top border. I used a layer mask to bring the border back to visible.
Lily also went for clean with a traditional page:
And AnneofAlamo created a wonderful art journal page:
Completely unplanned, with one kit with have literal, traditional, vintage, heritage and art journaling. That’s a lot of surprises in one bundle. Check out this kit and all the wonderful kits in the Crafty Button store.
